What is PhIMA?

PhIMA strives to provide valuable learning opportunities and networking events for agencies, publishers, and clients alike.

The organization’s intent is to encourage open communication in an effort to increase the sense of community within the Greater Philadelphia market. Participation and membership will help to support the future of the industry and is open to professionals of all levels.

Board of Directors

Jessica McManimen, Executive Director, PhIMA

Currently, Jessica is a stay at home mom living in Lancaster with her husband, Alex, and two sons, Colin and Gavin. Despite not having a full-time professional career, Jessica keeps busy and stays connected to the industry by way of her involvement on the PhIMA Board. As one of the founders of PhIMA, Jessica has enjoyed heightening industry recognition of the Philadelphia interactive community since 2005.

Prior to becoming a stay at home mom, Jessica was most recently employed by NetPlus Marketing, where she served as the VP of Operations. Jessica oversaw a multi-disciplinary team which included online media, search engine marketing, marketing intelligence and campaign management. Jessica’s primary responsibility as VP of Operations was to ensure that her team kept the work flowing smoothly from start to finish - on time, on budget, and better than expected.

Beginning her career with Harmelin Media, and with the exception of a year spent working for AOL in Dulles, VA, Jessica worked for NetPlus for well over eight years, starting as a senior Media Buyer, and advancing through account services to operations.

Maura Dailey, Senior Marketing Manager, PointRoll

Maura joined PointRoll in 2006 and has been an integral part of the company’s highly regarded marketing efforts.  Focused on marketing to the best marketers in the world, Maura works to drive PointRoll’s awareness and sales leading public relations, direct marketing, digital advertising and other marketing initiatives geared toward creative and media agencies, publishers, brands and partner ad solutions providers. As a native digital marketer, Maura has watched the industry blossom over the past 7 years, growing her knowledge of display, video, mobile and emerging technologies as well as her understanding of data-driven digital tactics and digital campaign measurement. Maura puts the knowledge PointRoll has gained from delivering more than 1 trillion digital ad experiences into action by managing all of PointRoll’s own advertising, maximizing PointRoll’s technology and ensuring best practices are followed with each impression served.

Prior to PointRoll, Maura worked in traditional advertising and marketing roles for insurance and financial services companies.

Maura attended Lafayette College where she captained the women’s swim team.  She resides in Philadelphia, PA and spends her free time running and crafting.

Greg Ebbecke, Media Convergence Manager, Harmelin Media

As a Media Convergence Manager at Harmelin Media, Greg is leading a team of specialists tasked with helping clients integrate online and offline marketing strategies as one cohesive “digitized” media plan. For the past 6+ years, Greg has planned digital media across a variety of brand categories including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, automotive and CPG.  In addition to his current role at Harmelin, Greg has also worked at Digitas Health and Calkins Media.

Greg currently holds a BS in marketing from Villanova University and will begin pursuing his MBA in the Fall.

Sarah Bast, Vice President Director, Publicis Health Media/Digitas Health

Sarah has been a part of the Digitas Health family going on 5 years.  As a media VP/Director she leads media strategy for clients such as AstraZeneca. She has expertise in development of multi channel digital promotional campaigns that expand across Online Advertising, Search Engine Marketing, and Electronic Medical Records. Her focus on analysis, optimization and ultimately recommendations help her clients achieve their goals.

Sarah’s vast experience has been centered on healthcare since early on in her career when she served as a communications analyst for Bristol-Myers Squibb. She then went on to work for MS3 (MarketSource IMS) as a media manager for brands including Acuvue, Pepcid and Reach. She also worked as a media manager for Beyond Interaction, focusing on GlaxoSmithKline as her core client.

In addition, Sarah has built her marketing communications skills working in the sports and entertainment industries for organizations including the New York Knicks, Madison Square Garden, NBC Olympics, and Universal Orlando Resort.

Sarah earned a bachelor of science degree in recreation and park management with a minor in business marketing from Penn State University.  During her education she also studied at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.  Fun Fact: Sarah was a member of the Penn State Blue Band majorette squad.

Eric Wolk, Regional Sales Director, ValueClick Media

Eric heads-up a sales team in New York for ValueClick Media. During his 5+ years with ValueClick, Eric has worked with various agencies and advertisers in New York and Philadelphia to build highly customized campaigns designed around his clients’ objectives. Prior to joining ValueClick Media, Eric managed the national sales efforts for Katz Radio’s suburban stations. Since graduating from the University of Maryland, Eric has spent most of his career in New York City. While he recently moved further down the turnpike, Eric still resides in New Jersey making it easier to split time between New York and Philadelphia. Eric spearheads our Agency Liaison committee which was implemented to create a platform for ongoing feedback and suggestions, which in-turn, helps foster the growth and interest in PhIMA.

Jessica King, Principal, Operations, King Design

Jessica leads her team in coordinating campaigns for clients like, Stonyfield Farm, Honest Tea, and Breastcancer.org, who are looking to engage their base around a mission. She manages campaigns from concept to launch around all aspects of social, including Facebook Applications, microsites, and video. Her previous work was as a Program Manager and Six Sigma Black Belt at UnitedHealth Group, a Fortune 100 healthcare company. There she lead cross-functional project teams to successfully execute enterprise-wide strategic initiatives aimed at improving quality, efficiency, and affordability. During her time at United, she also program managed the implementation of a new brand for one of their wholly owned subsidiaries.

Jessica is a Nittany Lion at heart. She holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Penn State University.

Scott Shulman, Director of Sales, Rocket Fuel

As the East Coast Sales Director for Rocket Fuel, Scott Shulman focuses on planning and directing East Coast sales activities, maximizing potential revenue, instituting best practices and maintaining service levels within the digital advertising market.

Prior to joining Rocket Fuel, Scott spent over 5 years at ContextWeb, where he opened the Philadelphia territory to ContextWeb and was able to bring in more than 300 new advertisers including Coca Cola, Proctor and Gamble, Ford, Samsung, Chase, Nestle, Cisco, Verizon and Walmart.  Although he is no longer with ContextWeb, Scott still holds the record for signing up the most clients and bringing in the most revenue in ContextWeb history.

As an account executive at the boutique ad agency Margeotes Ferita & Partners, Scott worked with clients on web, print and television campaigns. He forged strong relationships with key clients, including Sotheby’s, Stolichnaya, Bombay Sapphire and Reckitt Benckiser.  Shulman also spent time as a retail equities broker at a private equity firm where he brought on the most clients.

Scott received his bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in communications from University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Ellen (Blum) Hager, Senior Account Executive, Rocket Fuel

Ellen is the newest member of the PhIMA Board, joining in 2013.  Ellen started her first job in the interactive space over five years ago with Internet Broadcasting (now Cox Digital Solutions).  She landed this position as an Account Executive through relationships cultivated at a PhIMA networking event. At Internet Broadcasting, Ellen found success by focusing on the pharmaceutical vertical in the Philadelphia area.  Specifically her partnership with Digitas Health and Astra Zeneca to strategically create programs that drove patients from local news TV ads to sponsorship destinations online.

After Internet Broadcasting, Ellen took a position as a Sales Director with WebMD where she continued to focus on the pharma vertical. At WebMD she continued her strong ties to Philadelphia by working with Razorfish Healthware and Digitas Health through the development of several programs aimed at engaging and educating consumers about promoted drug brands. Ellen is very excited to recently join Rocket Fuel as a Senior Account Executive. Working under our PhIMA board member, Scott Shulman, Ellen is once again responsible for growing the Philadelphia and PA territory. She is very enthusiastic for this challenge, especially to work at such an innovative company in the multiplatform digital space.

Ellen received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Moravian College.  During her four years at Moravian Ellen was President of her class and President of her Sorority.  She is also very active and enjoys running with her clients and friends on Kelly Drive.
